You should know that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 has now become the successor to the BlackBerry Onyx which Research In Motion (RIM) today introduced new variants in the ranks of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone, the BlackBerry Bold 9780. His face was not much different from previous series Bold, BlackBerry Bold 9700, known as Onyx. In fact, both are nearly the same.
Some of the advantages that belongs to the BlackBerry Bold 9780 instead of Onyx is its operating system. If Onyx buried the BlackBerry OS 5, the Bold 9780 presents the latest operating systems from RIM, the BlackBerry OS 6, which used exactly the same as the BlackBerry 9800 Torch.
“We are excited to introduce the BlackBerry Bold 9780 by BlackBerry’s latest operating system 6,” said Carlo Chiarello, RIM’s Vice President of Product Management in his official statement.
“This model is based on experience of what the users liked the BlackBerry Bold. We give some upgrades, including tamplian new interface, fast WebKit based browsers, multimedia capabilities and enhanced memory,” he explained.
As for some additional features of the BlackBerry OS 6 is a messaging capability is enhanced with intuitive features to simplify the management of social networking and RSS feeds (Social Feeds), links to access the BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and various applications instant messaging (IM).
In addition to the BlackBerry OS 6, RIM also enhances multimedia capabilities, especially the camera. BlackBerry Bold 9780 has a 5MP camera complete with auto focus feature, scene modes, image stabilization, flash, and features a video recorder. Compared Onyx only has 3.15 MP camera.
On the memory side were more superior Bold 9780. If Onyx has 256MB of RAM, the Bold 9780 has been increased to 512MB. Of course this affects the performance of the software. While internal memory, Onyx also cluck. Bold 9780 allows additional storage with a card slot up to 32GB, while the Onyx is only up to 16GB.
BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone will be available through various operators around the world in early November.
